One word. Fantabulous.

Lyrics Re-Born!

Got my copy of Lyrics Born New album, “Everywhere at Once”, his  seventh solo LP (including the variety shows) and it just sounds  great, listened to it six times over already.

I’m pretty used to hearing albums by artists get a little weaker and  weaker as they come but with LB they’re just as hip, funky and  soulful as the last! Which is indeed what I love about LB, they way he mixes  all these sounds together, assisted by the lovely Joyo Verlade to  create these unique sounds and not to  mention the humorous skits.

Also LB should be playing at this years O2 wireless Festival, hopefully  I Can get a ticket!

Every track is hot on this album but it was to pick, my favorites it would be:

  • Differences
  • Cakewalk
  • I’m a Phreak
  • I Like It I Love It
  • Is It the Skin I’m In
  • Homeland Security Skit
  • Whispers
  • Rules Were meant to be Broken
In the words of Lyrics Born, “This album is CLEAN

Mode 2: Never Too Late..

Had a look at the Mode 2: Never too late exhibition at Soho’s Lazarides.

“Never Too Late… sees Mode in a more politically reflective mood, questioning some of the issues which make the news these days, whether it be his take on the end of communism in ‘Farewell to Grand Ideals’ or his views on religion or the environment”

nice exhibition, city culture, war, earth, life.  Definitely a exhibition to view.
Running until 2nd of May

Dunk XXIII: Nike ”Be True” Exhibition

Today me and my friend went to have a look. It was very vibrant; bold writing, life-sized rubix cubes,  vivid graphics, it felt like we were in a Justice Music video!

The Illustrations were just something else, Kate Moross is really good at what she does.

”Nike have created an extensive art exhibition, focusing on various members of London’s creative community - people who have unique, personal relationship with the Dunk and who have gone some way to giving London its current cultural edge and personality”

appearances from, JME, Kesh & Zezi, Unkle’s own, James Lavelle, Reggie Yates, Afrikan Boy, Trapstar and Floss Daily..

The Exhibition runs until the 27th April at the Loading Bay Gallery, Brick Lane. Its opposite Rough Trade Records and next to Gloria’s
